I really want the Chase Freedom card, but if I don't stand a chance then I don't want to bother and put a ding in my credit.
- I'm 19 and a student.
- My FICO score is 745 (TU FICO score reported on my Discover It statements).
- I got my first secured credit card in April 2013. After a year I closed that card.
- I've had the Discover It since June 2013. Started with $500 CL and now it's $1,000 CL. My utilization ratio is 1% or less.
- I always pay in-full and on-time.
- I do NOT have any student loans.
- I have a savings account with Chase that was opened in 1995.
- I also have a checking account that was opened in 2012.
- Between these accounts, I have $3,500. In a couple weeks I will have $5,000.
- I do not currently have a job, but this past summer I had a full-time internship and made $8,500 in 10 weeks.
- I have a business of selling things online, so I make $100+ per month from that as well.
- I had over $10,000 in scholarships and grants this calendar year.
I'm assuming I will get the "We need to review your application" message. If I call the backdoor number and plead and ask for a low CL, do I have a good chance of being approved?
