Changes in Comenity luv button

I've noticed that when I hit the Comenity 'luv button' the little box (underneath income entry) to accept a hard pull if necessary is gone and now there's just the usual verbiage (with no option to accept) "Please note we may need to access your credit report when considering your request. By submitting this request, you grant us permission to do so." Does this mean Comenity has done away with sp cli requests?

After the box started appearing I did not check it off and just submitted the request without it and the request would still go thru.

Re: Changes in Comenity luv button

I don't believe that the SP CLI option is entirely gone, but just be aware that they still reserve the right to HP. It's uncertain whether this is the result of "fixing" a technical bug (i.e. individuals bypassing the acknowledgment box) or something else altogether to remain compliant. But, this is Comenity so it's difficult to say.

At the end of the day, if you feel that you need the CLI then try it out. Based on some recent Comenity CLI threads, it doesn't appear there's much momentum on the HP side of things though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: Changes in Comenity luv button

I actually just noticed this myself the other night when I went in to do a cli on my overstock card, I sent it through anyway and immediately got a $1500 increase ($2500 to $4000), haven't seen an inquiry yet and i just checked all 3 reports a few minutes ago. I app'd for a double cash card on the 19th (and got approved, yay!) and citi did a double pull (EX and EQ) both of which are already showing up and have been since pretty much right after the app went through. I think my overstock cli was technically on the 22nd so while I suppose it's feasible that they did a HP and it's just not showing up yet, all 3 of my reports have been refreshed as of today so i think it was in fact a soft pull.

Not sure if it's a case by case basis or how much ymmv but as of right now for me at least it looks like soft pull cli's are still achievable with comenity, I'll definitely come update this if one pops up later though 😞 fingers crossed!
