If I'm not mistaken, I thought this was discontinued at the end of 2012 and they were transferring all cardholders over to the new program. Did they decide to keep people that already had it grandfathered in after all?
Didn't open my Freedom card till 3/2013, but I still got the bonus at the end of 2013. Hope they changed their mind about discontinuing it.

I think the official line was that the transfer of existing users would be complete by the end of 2013 (and at one point it was meant to be August 2013). So you are still getting it? That's good!

Are you talking about the 10% bonus that gets paid at year end? That is still going on. It is the 10 points + 10% per transaction that was (meant to be) discontinued.
Could someone please elaborate on this bonus?
If you have a Chase checking account, you get a yearly 10% bonus on ALL points earned on Freedom. This includes the 5% points, which is why for a few people the bonus was better than the old one (which didn't include the 5% points)
There are still people that have managed to hold onto the old 10&10 bonus program. I'd lie low if I were you OP. =)

Thank you! Is this the standard basic checking or any checking account? How do you link it?
