Chase Bank, Closed my Credit Cards. Please read

Hey Everyone! (please excuse the mistypes, damn iphone)

I am 23 years old, and I have been building my credit for quite sometime now, and about a month ago I was approved for a Chase Sapphire and Chase Freedom cards for both 5k each.  Also, approved for a Citi Forward card

To take advantage of the rewards of both my Chase cards, I would rotate both cards to make purchases and pay off the balance as soon as the transactions post. Yesterday, I made a huge purchase at my work of a Macbook computer needed for school on my Sapphire account (yes I needed it), the next day when the transaction was posted I went online and did the "Blue Print" to pay off my new computer in 6 months. A few hours later, I went online to check my accounts again and my credit card accounts were closed.

I've contacted the Customer Service Specialist, and they said that my accounts were being handled by the Risk Department. I was transferred to that Department, and that department asked me to go to the local branch to present my ID, so I did within the hour. The banker contacted the Risk Department, and get this, the Risk Department said that my cards were reported lost which was weird because I presented the two cards that were closed. As they further digged in, they said someone else but me applied for the Sapphire Card and Freedom card. Which was FALSE. I applied for those two cards personally. It was nothing but a wild goose chase trying to find out why were they closed. No answer were given. I contacted the: Credit Analyst, Verification Department, Recovery Department and the Exhaustive Offices. My accounts were closed for Fraud, and that was it. Nothing more, nothing less. I demanding for an answer and none was given; I am hoping the main office will help me with this problem. I think it is odd that it was closed for no reason and the reason was for Fraud? I have had chase since I was 18 years old. I find it an outrage. Anyone held or experience anything like this? I am planning in moving my banking to Citibank, I have a 10k limit with them.

My biggest concern is that if they closed my account, I don't want them to do charge backs on my purchases especially the purchase I made at my job! I would like to pay it. If they acted this unprofessional and don't know why my accounts were closed I wouldn't want to keep cards from them anyway.
My Credit Score across the board is 700-800.

Sorry that your first post was with bad news. If your accounts were opened 'due to fraud' can't a simple id verification remedy this mess? Or are they saying the information provided was fraudulent?

All information was provided was 110% accurate. A banker assisted me with applying.

I would think so too, both the banker and the department were still confused on why it was closed from the get go! Questions: "if the account was closed due to fraud, than why was the accounts closed by 'lost' status and not a 'fraud status.'

Very interesting.  Although it happens from time to time, this similar scenario has occured to folks with GECRB, AMEX, BOA, Comenity to name a few.  I can imagine this being beyond frustration and hope it gets resolved for you.

It is! I would love a logical explanation. I just don't want it look bad on my credit report or want them to do charge backs on transactions that I made. That's my biggest concern.

they shouldn't do chargebacks on transactions you made.

even if they do, they will sort it out with the merchant. just hold onto your receipts and keep all paperwork to cover your base.

it's really weird this is happening.

Do you have fraud alert on your CR? Did you have identity theft happen to you before? Any recent changes in your CR?

So you spoke to risk and EO and they weren't able to give you an answer as well?

Your best bet right now is to head to a branch again, and try to have the branch manager resolve it for you. Usually it helps more when the branch manager is making the phone calls on your behalf.

Besides the Forward with a $10k CL what other cc's do you have? Have you pulled CR's to see if your reports are in order?

The only other accounts that report to all 3 credit agencies are:

Kohls Charge Account, Best Buy CC, and a Bill Me Later account (this one doesn't show up, but I do have it)

Also that appears is the secured credit card that I had when I was 19 of 1k, and the join account my mother placed me in so I could build my credit.
