No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Hi everyone,
I searched the forums for an answer to my question but the threads were significantly outdated. As we know, policies can often change and I wanted to provide an answer to others in case they were searching. I applied for the Chase Sapphire Preferred today for their new sign-up bonus. After being approved, I called in for a manual review to increase the SL. As it turns out, Chase is still difficult in their processes. After a handful of reps (through the backdoor numbers), I was able to confirm requesting a larger SL for an approved card is a separate application and another HP, even for same day applications. To Chase, this application is the same as if you were requesting it six months later.
Hope this helps for anyone looking in the future .
Always been like that when seeking additional credit from Chase.
The only exception might be a recon when card is denied, but there have been instances where they wanted to pull again for the same purpose.
If you applied for a card or increase hourly, they would pull hourly.
In fact, Chase might do a HP if you're parked in front of the branch for too long.

And if you are parked anywhere else, probably credit seeking or something, so better do an HP.
I heard that if you think about Chase credit cards for too long, you receive a HP

AFAIK those are still SPs. Weekly. On all 3 bureaus.
I got an HP from chase for just looking in this thread.

Double HP for me.
Should have waited until you had the check marks.
