Chase Denied APR Reduction

Chase denied my request for an APR reduction on my Ritz Carlton Card, it is curretly at 15.9%. I have this card for 11 months now. They replied back to me saying: "The current APR that you have now is the lowest that we offer", I do not think this is true, but I am glad that I do not carry balance on this card & this is the only one that I have with them.

Someone did not read the Chase manual. Lol.

I may pester them about lowering APR one day...

It just won't be today.

Chase just doesn't lower APRs i think. That is why they are better at PC'ing and moving limits.

Chase is never known to reduce APR... But I guess it was worth the effort.

This is the only APR they offer on the Ritz-Carlton. It's the same as with Chase Sapphire Preferred, and Southwest Premier, Marriott etc.

You get a fixed APR on all these cards. It doesn't matter if you've had the card for a while or not.

However, even with the cards like Freedom where they have a flexible APR, Chase is notorious in not reducing the APR. I opened a thread on this recently. I'll try that in a few months.

You should not apply for these rewards cards with APR in mind. None of these cards offer low APR; or 0% promos. If you want low APRs, Freedom and Slate are your best bet with Chase.
