It's official chase and fairmont are parting away!
Today I received letter from the chase stating that on August 15th they are replacing Fairmont Visa Signature card with CSP. For me this is going to be second CSP.
Good info. I am sure some will be disappointed and others may be happy with this.
People that wanted the freedom should be able to downgrade from the CSP to the Freedom. So it appears to have worked out for those people getting core non- co-branded chase cards.
Bummer, I was hoping for Freedom Unlimited since I'll never be under 5/24
YAAAAAAASSSSSSS! This is fantastic!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the intel. I'd really prefer to have the option for a regular Freedom card. ( not the Freedom Unlimited). I don't have any interest in obtaining another annual fee card, and my husband already has CSP.
If anyone is able to successfully change the Fairmont /CSP into a Freedom (especially without waiting a year), please share!
We are on vacation until the 29th, so I am wondering what the date will be that the Fairmont card is no longer valid? I am assuming it would coincide with the issue date of your new CSP, but I know from experience that is not always the case with other cards.
Luckily I was just able to use several of the Fairmont card benefits while on this trip! Whew.
Just got this letter in the mail today. Looks like my Farimont Visa is being changed to the Chase Sapphire Preferred. DIdnt think they'd convert so fast but here it is
