Well, well I will be SDing my Freedom and Freedom Flex, dont use paypal and have Walmart card that returns 5% for online orders. For some these cats will be quite useful. Thanks for reporting the cats there UncleB!
Those are solid categories that will get some spend from me this quarter.
I will be forever jealous of everyone that had PayPal Key since that feature was never available for my account during its limited run.
sucks for me - rarely use paypal, and it wouldn't matter if it was 10% for walmart for me - not my thing. Too bad - CFF SD for Q4 for me. Hopefully next quarter will be more useful ...
Now Chase just needs to change the 3% on Drugstores to Gas !
@WasteMgmt wrote:Is it common for people with 2 Freedom cards to hit the cap? I usually end up hitting maybe a quarter to half of it.
It depends on the quarter and what the categories are.
For me, the grocery and WM/Paypal quarters are easy to max-out on two Freedom cards. The other quarters/categories, not so much. Of course this will vary from person to person depending on their spend patterns.
PSA regarding PayPal.
I have multiple credit cards in my PayPal account, with Chase Freedom as the preferred payment method for basic PayPal. However, many merchants do not have a method to allow you to choose which card you want to use, within PayPal.
Starbucks allows Starbucks Card reloads through PayPal, however the PayPal website for me has Starbucks as a "subscription" reload, with a different card assignable within that Subscription. It's not automatic, but the card that was in the PayPal --> Starbucks Subscription was my AMEX Platinum, from back in the time when Platinum had extra points for PayPal.
So, best to review your PayPal Subscriptions setup on the website for various merchants prior to going all-in on PayPal purchases

With OG Freedom and Flex both, I'll have double chances to see the Women of Walmart. PayPal always nice, but yeah, nicer with PPKey.
Wha does this mean 😅
Are PP and Walmart cashbacks stackable to get 10% (paying with PP at Walmart)?

Freedom stacks only get 9x URs(four bonus for each category). Looks like someone asked on Reddit two years ago about this particular combo and Chase made sure not to let this one stack. Only SUB bonus categories allow the 9x earn as far as I know.

I think I discovered that I'm wrong. I saw DPs from 21' that Lyft/Paypal and CVS/Paypal earned 9x and 7x respectively in which case the stack should work with all standard bonus categories on the card. I took a Lyft to the airport this morning and used Paypal/Freedom Flex so I'll report back when that charge posts.
