Re: Chase Freedom MasterCard, no longer being offered?!?

Well, there you have it!  The WMC has ALWAYS been available; however, it was not as common.  Back when Freedom was available as the Freedom/ CHASE Exclusives version, it was available in both WMC and Visa Signature.  During that period folks had the ability to choose between MC or V.

I'm pretty sure Ron1 was the guy that escalated for his Freedom Platinum MC to become WMC and was firmly told no a few months ago. I'll alert him so that he can perhaps revisit the request and push for it. There were many others too here and on FT that couldn't get WMC, unless Chase recently re-introduced it.

Yay, good to see new Freedom MC's are being issued because it means:

1) the 4 different CSR's I spoke or SM'd are wrong

or

2) the conversion will be a long way off.  Just got another SM from another Sr. Service Specialist in reply to my question of when and which products will be converted. He stated that "Chase partner accounts like Marriott, United, Southwest, etc. are not being converted" but "Other accounts like Freedom, Sapphire, Slate are being converted to Visa." and that they will notify in advance of the card being converted.

I'm still on the Chase Exclusive 10+10...even with the recent conversions (one Freedom VISA -> VISA Sig & another Freedom VISA Sig -> WMC). Maybe Chase Exclusive has something to do with it? By the way, Freedom VISA (non-signature) was having Exclusive 10+10 for me.

Re: Chase Freedom MasterCard, no longer being offered?!?

I am utterly confused , according to my chase online account it says i have two different account numbers , which I thought would have meant that the PC from visa to MC went through. Also when I spoke with chase support via twitter they said the PC went through, but then I just got an letter in the mail that said that they couldn't change my visa to an mc. Only way i could do that is reapply for another card and have both cards, which would mean another HP.

Who is right and who is wrong?

Re: Chase Freedom MasterCard, no longer being offered?!?

We have two account numbers on our online accounts, and was told the cards will be here in 7-10 days, guess we will just have to wait and see if they arrive.  I haven't gotten any letters or any other messages about the account, so I have to assume that everything will go through right, but with everything in this thread I am not so certain anymore.

My wallet: Newest to oldest.

@mongstradamus:

Not sure what's going on with your case, but it doesn't sound right. Ask them to send you whatever letter they received from wherever they got it from? Why are you keep contacting them anyway after you saw the new account # showing up online? Sometimes waiting is the best option....but that's too late I guess since they told you that they received the letter.

@simi_go:

Wish you good luck. Hope you get it.

Maybe having 2x Freedom cards help getting WMC version.

After I received DM from chase support about it going through , I didn't contact them anymore about it. I just got mail from an prior inquiry I suppose.
