Did some googling. Found a site with a screen shot of what seems like something from Chase. It keeps mentioning cash back. So I went to the Chase credit card site and no where on the existing Freedom page does it say anything about URs. It says cash back, it does mention points. It says points can be redeemed for cashback, gift cards, travel, products, etc. But it definitely says cashback all over the place. Interesting.

The regular Freedom has always been advertised as a "cash back" card by Chase. They never really advertise the "get this card and you earn points you can transfer to your CSP account and then to partners!".

Of course, as exciting as it would be if it were UR, almost everyone on here is locked out under 5/24 anyway lol

All kidding aside I would have an excuse to PC my Slate or my CS.

I wonder how lenient they will be with PCs to this new product.  I remember when the Discover It Miles card came out, people were reporting that Discover wasn't letting people PC.

Chase is usually pretty flexible with allowing PCs but who knows in this case. Does Discover even allow PCs now? I thought people also reported getting approved for Miles was tough too. LTL got one though.

Am I the only who thinks it's fun to abbreviate this card as FU? Smiley LOL

Some colleagues at work are fond of using the abbreviation for Follow Up, usually associated with someone's name. I have to really work ard to not say anything snarky on calls where these are discussed.

Re: Chase Freedom Unlimited

Chase is sure popular lately. The 5x isn't unlimited anyway right? ... But 30k easy UR a year gone would be crummy!

I would like to see some new cards from other banks! Amex in particular and some changes with cap1.

Still beating myself up for missing out on the Crystal Visa Infinite! The one card with trim level above Visa Signature. Lol. How's that for being a gas bag.

Bad PR is still PR I bet chase is getting a crap load of apps right now....
