Chase Freedom Visa Signature

I recently had a recon analyst at chase increase my Freedom to 10k.  I've heard that they offer a Freedom Visa Signature, and was wondering if mine would or should become a signature card.

Has anyone here had experience upgrading the Freedom to a signature card?

Do they normally do that automatically, or should I call and ask?

Have any of you done that?

Thanks,

I had it done the features are exactly the same.  I had to go through their back office to get it done and to be honest outside of the word "Signature" and bold metalic word "Visa" on the card they behave exactly the same way.  No Credit Pull the guy told me like 10 times during the conversation that they would not pull my credit for upgrading the card.

Oh yes and btw you get a nice new Terms and Conditions in the mail about a month later.

Re: Chase Freedom Visa Signature

I was initially approved with a $5k limit, but they will not give me a signature card until the 13th month.

Too many INQs & low AAoA so I'm off to tend the Garden.     Age:23

Re: Chase Freedom Visa Signature

I was just approved for a $5k Freedom a few minutes ago so this news is pretty upsetting to me.

I have to wait 13 months???

Re: Chase Freedom Visa Signature

What's the real practical difference?  You probably don't want to use the "flexible" part if you are concerned about credit score, and I have never used the Signature concierge service.

I think that concierge services might make sense with the really high-end cards (Centurion, Palladium), where they are dealing with a relatively small number of high-worth individuals,  but tons and tons of people of no great financial means have Signature cards, so you can't expect any great level of personal service.

Re: Chase Freedom Visa Signature

Both the Chase Freedom and the Chase Freedom Signature will buy that $2.99 bag of chips. One card just shines a little better and you hope the clerk will get impressed. Smiley Happy

Re: Chase Freedom Visa Signature

I use concierge about once a month.

You get higher insurance levels and benefits along those lines.
