Chase is also taking action against sign-up bonus chasers. I've read of others opening a new card only to have Chase close another card without notice. So it is possible to have too many cards with Chase.

congrats! mine came today too!! $12k!!
Okay guys, after a week of talking to chase, I escalated the issue to a Quality Customer Care Senior Financial Service Specialist and they were able to process my request and upgraded me to the Chase Freedom Visa Signature!
So if you get a No from a representative ask them to request your inquiry to be escalated to a Senior Financial Service Specialist and most likely they might be able to work something out for you guys.
I am super happy about this now.
congrats!

I've had the freedom card since 2011, always paid off my balances in full since I've had it.
Sigh...Chase is being so evasive with this Siggy upgrade thing...the standard replay being "we don't see this as an option on your account, otherwise we would do it". I even called the Executive Office (listed in the backdoor numbers) to try to get the upgrade to no avail. Instead the guy redirected me to VISA customer service who of course redirected me back to Chase customer service. Sigh...
ANybody get a freedom visa signature with less than a $5,000 limit? should I try sending a message to get my $4,000 limit converted even though I read that chase's minimum is $5,000?
