Ugh, thats frustrating. I wrote recon letter and have mailed it to them as well. They never specified it was my score that was the reason I was denied, but "high utilization on one card" and one unpaid CO that is 6 years old.
It is marked as dispute. I have a lot of fraud on my credit report due to someone taking out several payday advances and then not paying them (this is all in several police reports I've filed). Its such a headache dealing with! Perhaps it is my FICO score that is too low. I will have to order it when I get paid at the end of the month. I've read that Chase sometimes even takes into account your salary, but none of the recon representatives I spoke with even asked.
which # did you call?? they always ask for employer and salary.
It was a backdoor number I found on here. 1-888-270-2127, I also called 1-888-622-7547 and spoke with an "executive office" representative but she said she couldn't help but told me to call the first number again.....*rawrg*!

i got my EX fICO from chase when i tried for a CLI
Update, I called the Capital One Automated System and they said they are "currently reviewing" my application. What does that mean, when I applied on Captial One they said "Denied". So confused!!!
It appears your FAKOs and CRA scores are pertty low for a Freedom, but not so sure about the Crap1 cards. I got approved in the high 500s when I started rebuilding plus I had a poop-ton of baddies at that time.
Did you apply for the Capital one Cash Rewards Visa or the Mastercard?
The visa version is for "excellent" credit, the mastercard version is their version for "average" credit.
You need to actually have a pretty good score for the visa version, I think it starts at $3000, so I don't think you would have any luck with that one.
