Chase should pick some other color than blue. Granted I've got Cash+, Arrival+ and SM cluttering things up, but GEEZ I have a lot of blue cards.
Chase Freedom and Discover are two cards I so wish I never got. lol
I have other cards that fit all my needs everyday.
You live and you learn. I learned that 5% rotating categories are not my thing. I need consistency everyday, lol,,,but if I did use my Chase, I would definitely PC it to the unlimited.

Yeah, I mean I like my Discover card, but realistically it only gets heavily used during the restaurant quarter, and sometimes home improvement. Back when they used to do just general "online shopping" I liked that too, but it's been nerfed down to just being Amazon, which is a big difference. While I buy from Amazon occasionally, it's not a daily thing, so that category isn't especially compelling. I agree that consistency is better and I think most consumers feel the same way, which is why I think companies are starting to shy away from the 5% thing. I would expect the "regular" Freedom to eventually be phased out, though that's just my speculation. Chase says it will still exist for now though.
To be honest, it wouldn't be terrible to have CSP + FU + F, but I am a little bit leery of putting that much of my spending through one bank.
Right now, I run my spend through 4 banks but with that trifecta (or even that plus an Ink for it's 5% categories) for UR points I would want to use only Chase and Barclays (mostly Chase). Just seems too risky in case I'm ever out and Chase gets spooked for some reason.
There is now a direct link to apply for the Freedom Unlimited through Credit Karma.
Mod can this thread be closed for all future replies please.

Good point and especially lately where we been noticing a marked uptick in posts on some lenders getting the spook bug on them.
It's a wise choice to exercise some variety if not just for that reason alone (which is good enough IMO) but for the basic advantages of running spend thru cards with better return rates.
