Do you need to bank with Chase for pre-approvals? My grandfather banks with Chase, and is looking to build credit. However he doesn't use online banking.

Offers are given through their online portal so if he wants to check he'll need to use online banking in that case.

He can go into a branch and ask a personal banker for his offers. In-branch offers tend to be very solid.

I believe they are solid as well. Just helped a family member get another one of their cards. Some of them disappeared after the approval. Found out because we were trying to get two for one. Didn't happen! lol
