In case you hadn't noticed, Chase appears to be reducing cash advance limits on some credit cards to 20% of the total credit limit. I have an Airtran Visa that was sold by Barclays to Chase last year. Chase just dropped my Cash Advance Limit by 50% without any prior notice:
Thank You Chase:

I noticed in the online system that my available cash advance line was reduced from $1,876 to $983 over the past week. Can you please explain what is going on ? |
Chase has always been 20% for me.
