Chase Rewards not triggering for qualifying purchase and support is ineffectual

Has anyone had success getting help with Chase Offer or Shop through Chase rewards not triggering?

 

I've tried secure message and they just tell me that I didn't activate the offer before the purchase. But I certainly did, because I've done these offers and know how they work. The "mistake" I made was probably not waiting long enough (24h?) for offer activation to register in their system. 

 

The other reward that didn't trigger was a Shop through Chase, where you link out to a retailer. I did everything on my end to ensure it would activate. Turned off ad blockers, made sure tracking cookies were enabled, completed purchase in one session. Still didn't trigger. 

The only other time I've had problems with rewards was one transaction on my Discover last year, and they painlessly fixed it for me. This experience is really souring me to Chase.

I've activated chase offers while in the store, never an issue.

Shop through chase always worked, though waiting is a bit longer, but it always happened.

So far I haven't had any issue with rewards posting, though they're not always immediate. I've had an email pop up maybe a week later saying I used an offer and the credit was there at that point. No problems with Shop Through Chase either.

I'll echo that it might just take longer than usual

 

Have this same problem with friend/biz referrals posting. Some referral  bonuses get applied in less than a week after approval, others might take a statement cycle before I see the points in my account and this is accounting for instant approvals

I just used one of mine and it posted in 4 days with an immedaite email notifying me I had earned it.

I'm curious how long your Shop Through Chase takes to post, on average? My transaction was approximately 4 weeks ago, so perhaps I will see the points with next statement? The reps don't remark on a record of it pending, but idk if they can see that type of info. 

 

The Chase Offer concerns me because it disappeared from my Activated tab once it expired and does not appear in Redeemed. That one required two transactions, the second of which only posted ~2 weeks ago. The secure message agent said it wasn't activated, but perhaps they don't have the correct info and are giving me a default explanation.

Anywhere between 3 - 6 weeks for shop through Chase. 

Just a thought...maybe you added it on one chase card and tried using it with the other one? 

I did that once thinking it was on CSR, it wasnt Smiley Embarassed

I definitely put it in the right card, though that's a good thought. 

I messed up the timeline a bit: Shop through Chase was 7 weeks ago - rep said I hadn't completed transaction in same session (I did) but maybe that's boilerplate response. So a shred of hope left on that one. 

Chase Offer final transaction was 3 weeks ago. I guess I won't worry too much just yet. That one is a statement credit I believe so I will see if it posts this next statement.

OP call customer service. I had them immediately credit me shop through Chase points once the rep reviewed the qualifying purchase. Initially I did not know CSR's had that type of discretion/ability.
