Just recieved a pre-qualified offer for a Chase Sapphire card.
Currently have Chase Freedom Unlimited opened back in Oct 2019.
Discover approved in Dec 2019
I have 6 inquiries (just got a car and apartment) my credit isn't so great right now (around 690), I have one old medical bill showing $1k and I had one large purchase that i'm paying down $1600.
Total open credit I have rn is $5400 out of $7k
Anyone think I should cool it for now? Think I would have a less of a chance with the total of inquiries?
I would suggest for you to wait at least until your CFU turns 1 yr. or better yet your last card opened (Disco) to be 13 months just to better your chance of approval. That prequal you just received sounds more like a marketing solicitation.
I know gardening is a rare feat around here but Good Luck!
One other thought, is to go into a physical Chase branch and speak to a personal banker.
