Chase Sapphire Reserve - rec'd my approval letter and questions

Ok, received my letter from Chase today for my approval from Monday.

In the opening of the letter is this:  Thank you for being a loyal Chase customer and for giving us the opportunity to serve you further with a new None Visa Infinite card.

^ Now, my question is what is the difference between a "not none" and "none visa infinite"?  Obviously I by no means felt it was unlimited spending and more than am fully aware of how flexible spending cards work.  I did a quick google search and the only language I could find with the "non-visa infinite" related to parking places at Candian airports.

Next is a section titled:  If you're interested in increasing your new credit line:

  • When your card arrives, call the number on the sticker to confirm receipt.
  • Our Customer Service Specialists may be able to help you to move or combine available credit among your Chase cards to meet your needs.

^ So does that mean I have hit my internal limit with Chase?  I have zero issue if that is the case, but I just wanted to try and clarify here versus a call to CS and have that logged.

Standard wording with the approval, IMO. You might or might not be near or at your internal limit, I think they just want you to know that you can move your limits. (Not everyone outside these online forums knows that. lol)

With regard to the none infinite line, no clue. It launches next week, maybe it's a typo they haven't fixed yet?

Understood and thanks.  I do not believe it is a typo because a google search does show hits using that very term on visainfinite.ca.

What chase cards do you have and CL? and what is the percent of the CLs to the income you reported? Maybe you hit the limit already.

I read this somewhere else and it seems to make sense. The 'none' is a field, usually what would go there there is the card name, think 'Freedom'  Visa or "Sapphire Preferred" Visa Sig. But it placed 'none' Visa Infinite because there is no card officially available yet that is called the Sapphire Reserve in the computer system. They do have a Visa Infinite card currently available, the Ritz card, so that's whey have the 'Visa Infinite' filed filled out.

So what I am hearing you say is that after 8/21 instead of "none" it will say Sapphire Reserve Visa Infinite?  If so your point makes total sense.

Re: Chase Sapphire Reserve - rec'd my approval letter and questions

The "none" is an error. Some have claimed they have seen that wording before. It should say "Chase Sapphire Reserve Visa Infinite" or "Chase Ritz Visa Infinite" etc in the "none" spot. IMO that wording proves that Chase's system was not ready for the apps on Monday.

For the wording about credit limits, that is standard wording for all Chase approvals. It is just stating that when you receive your card you can call Chase and talk to them about a CLI (or CLD in some cases), CLI almost certainly another HP. However, with the uncertainty about Monday's apps, the UW used, and the approvals almost all coming in at $10-$15k SL, it would not surprise me if Chase was more lenient on changing SL to reflect your credit profile and exposure with Chase.
