Chase UR Mall to GNC to ShopRunner for Payment?

From the Chase Ultimate Rewards Mall, the GNC link has 4% added.

On the GNC Check out, there are three payment options, Secure GNC checkout, ShopRunner for free shipping, and PayPal.

The ShopRunner is available through my AMEX card, and I should be able to pay with my Freedom card, though i'm not sure that is required to get the UR points.

Anyone have experience with using ShopRunner as the payment tool, and getting the appropriate UR Mall points?

I got an AMEX "Spend $75 get $15 back at GNC.com" on my HHonors card, so went back into this topic.

Signed in through Chase UR Mall, to go to GNC.com for 4 UR points per dollar.

Already had qty 2 of the item I was thinking of before, because GNC.com does cookies I'm sure.

Added two other basic items to get just over $75 in the shopping cart.

At check out, the ShopRunner still displays, but in the earlier session I had gone out to sign in / register for Shop Runner, so apparently since Shop Runner has cookies also, or it gets added to the GNC.com cookies, it forced the Shop Runner Free Shipping on to the regular GNC.com shopping cart. I could choose other GNC shipping options, but Shop Runner free shipping was part of the selection of 4 choices.

Paid through the regular GNC.com shopping cart, got the free shipping as Shop Runner was only a notation.

Paid with my AMEX Hilton card to expect the $15 back since I paid GNC.com, not Shop Runner.

Should be a nice triple stack on one transaction for stuff I would get anyway.

You mean you didn't start with an empty cart? Please report back when you get those points because I was under the impression that you must not have any items added to cart prior to going through portals.

I guess I'll find out. The AMEX offer is better than the 4 UR points, and since I did not use my Freedom card, it's possible the UR points won't even work for that reason.

I did get 3 Hilton HHonors points too, not quite as valuable as 4 UR points

I did get the UR Mall points, even though not paying with the Freedom (or another Chase) card at checkout. My Chase Freedom card just posted, and it has the 304 points added in to the mix of UR points directly from the card. The basis for the UR Mall points is the pre-sales tax amount, so I got a nice lot of stacking!

UR Mall 304 points, 4x purchase price pre-sales tax

AMEX $15 back on the GNC.com promo

Hilton HHonors 202 points, 3x total price less the $15 cash back

Free shipping through Shop Runner off the cookies.

Having an empty cart is a precaution to maximize the chance of tracking correctly, it isn't necessary (but obviously sensible to do!)
