Re: Chase United Mileage Plus: APPROVED

Congrats! I remember getting my first prime card it's a great feeling. Mine was from Citi and I remember how diligently I paid my bills on it. I "babied" that card for so long and it paid off. Are you going to close your smaller limit CC's now that you have that card?

Re: Chase United Mileage Plus: APPROVED

Thanks every one I'm pretty shocked at the 7000CL as well!

For now I'm keeping my small limit cards open because I just paid an AF on one. I will close my other Cap1 card in October before that AF hits though. I have no use for it and the CL isn't high enough to drastically affect my utl%. I want to keep the number of cards I have at a minimum so I don't have difficulty managing them.

Transunion: 713 FICO (5/13/2014) MyFico
Experian: 789 FICO (4/10/12) Lender Pull
Equifax: 695 FICO (1/10/14) MyFico

My cards: Chase United Mileage Plus 7000CL (3/12), CITI Simplicity 1800CL (9/12), Cap1 Platinum 1000CL (2/10), Cap1 Cash back 1500CL (11/11), Apple Barclay's 2500CL (11/11), Discover IT 6000CL (5/13)

My Primary Financial Goal is to put down my utl%.

Sounds like a smart plan. I don't have the skill to manage multiple cards. I only have two (that includes CareCredit which doesn't really count) and I find that hard enough. I'm pretty sure that 4 cards will be my max and with that, I'll probably just use one consistently.

Re: Chase United Mileage Plus: APPROVED

There's been a 60K offer hiding around through these forums.

When I looked at the apps though, I could only find the 40K offer online. So maybe it's not around anymore.

Either way,  you still got the card and bonus miles. Very, very sweet.
