Chase can be funny sometimes. I know awhile back whenever I would get a replacement on a particular account they'd send 2 cards w/ the same info on them other than the CVV being different.
2 new accounts on the portal may be more security related whereas one got cancelled and replaced but, normally they replace them with the same info and just update the CVV. In this case it sounds more like they did a complete number swap. It could be something else though.... Either wait it out or call.... chances are when you call to activate the other # it might send you over to security for verification.
