Citi: Here is a $200 secured card with 4 years of reviews before graduation. Or you have high income/perfect credit and you're ok. There seems to be no middle.
I wonder if I'll be ok with getting a Cli in the future
what are they pulling for Cli?

I would think you at least have a 50/50, if you decide to apply, keep us posted.
Thanks for your reply. right now im gardening until january when i will apply for a nfcu cc, probably go rewards. my scores are mid 600's right now. i joined nfcu with a checking/savings back in may. i recently was approved for a 3k discover when they were denying me even for the secured card not to long ago. i didnt iib or ever have a discover card before. the fact that cap 1 and disco recently approved me tells me my situation is improving. i burned cap 1 in my bk7 for 4k-5k. once i nail down nfcu i will look further and may apply to citi. my goal is to have 3 solid cash back cards, so far discover is a good one, and over the next few years i want 2 more. so far recently i have dropped 3 subprimes, applied, first digital, and reflex. i will sit tight with my other cards until january. the target red card is dynamite with the 5 percent off but my cl is only 500, if that one grows its a keeper long term.
Thanks for the advise. Do you know which Credit unions are the best, except NFCU since I don't have any relative in the navy.
Thanks, I will try to check my Fico score today.

Pentagon Federal Credit Union (aka. PenFed) has a great reputation; I was approved for a card at about the 1-year mark with a $6,000 starting limit.

It doesnt have to be the NAVY, it can be any service branch and most close relatives
