New to Citi. Was looking to take advantage of a BT promo. Enter card number and amount to transfer. In the review, the card listed as Capital One. It's a NFCU card. Checked the info twice and Citi still says Capital One. Is this a problem? Don't want to pay someone else's card.
Why don't you just have them deposit it to your checking account?
They are only offering card to card. Maybe since it's a new account.
Could be. Have you tried chat feature?
You could ask them and see if that helps.
If you're confident the card number is entered correctly, it sounds like there is an error in Citi's BIN database. The first 6 digits of the card number (going to assume this is a Visa product) would be the BIN which identifies the issuing financial institution (CapOne and NFCU are large enough that they have numerous BINs) and it may be that they are neighboring BINs. If direct to checking is not an option (Do you already have your checking account info entered into their system for payments? If not that may explain why it is not an option. I seem to recall my Diamond Preferred having the option immediately.) would probably call on the outside chance that they issued an ACH (or mailed a check) to the wrong institution.
