Citi Backdoor

On my recent App spree I applied to a lot of cards (6 I think) I thought I was completely successful but I got a letter today from Citi stating I had been denied for the Thankyou Preferred. It said I was denied because of two many inquires. I truly must have been in an App coma because I forgot I applied for this card. Anyway i have the HP so I figured I might as well recon it (It worked for my other cards). I went through the numbers listed in the backdoor numbers and got nowhere googled their executive response team and got this number (718) 248-6433. I called and they told me they don't handle applications but they transferred me to this other lady who was super helpful. I told her how I wanted to transfer all of my business to citi and there are no Chase or USAA branches in the Cambridge or Boston area; the normal sob story. She told me she thinks they can help me and she'd review my app and get back to me by tomorrow. I'll update you guys with the results but i just wanted to get that number out there because I heard reconning Citi can be difficult.
