Citi CLI Question...

I just filled out the form online that asked for my income, rent, etc.  They approved me in like 30 mins for the 7k I asked for, (from 2k to 7k) but how do I know if they pulled my CR?

Also, my card is STILL a secured card...suppose to unsecure in April...I take it, they will hard pull me before it unsecurs, Right?

I also got an email that read...

Congratulations! We are pleased to approve your request for a higher credit limit on your account. Your new credit limit is $7000 and is already available for your use.

So did they pull my CR?

Thanks

Congrats :-)

When did you open this card? What CB does Citi pulls for CLI?

Call them and don't be shy. They'll let you know immediately one or the other. That's what i done.

I'm a Citi believer after just only a few short months with them.

Re: Citi CLI Question...

Yes and the pull come from Experian. FYI i requested a little too soon IMO but needed relief from toyland SL, so no complaint mine required a HP.

Re: Citi CLI Question...

I don't want to call them, just in case the CLI I got was a mistake.  I have not heard of many people getting a CLI while their card was still secured.

So if I call they might take the CLI away, so I am just gonna lay low

Re: Citi CLI Question...

Yes, an HP was done. SPs are done when the form clearly states that a credit report will not be pulled, but these are only for small increases (<1500) and not always available.

+1

You would know by the language used on the first CLI screen.  One tells you a report is not needed and does not let you name an amount.  The other, which it sounds like you had, gives Citi authorization to pull a report and you enter desired increase amount.

Re: Citi CLI Question...

They had authoization to pull the report, but that does not mean they actually did.

I guess I can wait a few days and then check my Experian report (since that is the report they have always pulled for me) and see if an INQ shows up
