I just called their back door number and learned that my application was approved. Still can't believe that I was denied originally since last time it happened was more then 15 years ago.

Citi has a pretty rigid system. it auto denies app no matter what your credit profile is like. one criteria is zero balance, while another is 2 inquiries in 6 month. once gets denied, It's very hard to change the decision through recon. Good for you they aprpoved you at the end. But really not sure how they conduct business with this such a rigid system.
