Citi Denial

Ok, so I was denied for a Citi card back on 3/11/11 due to too many inquiries, 6 to be exact. 2 have been removed now from my report due to fraud, how long should I wait to reapply? I'm thinking I should just forget about Citi, but would be nice to have 1 of their cards. They do have good BT offeres if I were to ever need one.

I would try to apply for a Shell Credit Card - offer through CITI. You can begin a relationship with CITI that way and than re-apply down the road for one of their CC. Just make sure there are no baddies what so ever when you apply for any of their cards, if you want a high success rate of approval.

I have seen others get approved with scores in the 660-699 range. I for one is reluctant to obtain any new CC until my score hit 720. Keep in mind, too many inquiries will hurt your score and chances of approval so choose wisely.

My sister applied and was approved for a CL of $15K recentely. She has no baddies, and Fico score of 750 w/a UTIL of 15% as a FYI......

Good luck !!

Re: Citi Denial

Thanks for the advice, I was thinking of doing that. I did just look over my EQ report and there are a bunch more of fraud inquiries on their. I have been a victim of ID Theft in the past. I had a fraud alert on my EQ but something happened to it.  I may or may not apply, I'm really considering just freezing EQ also and then all 3 will be that way.

Re: Citi Denial

This is definitely a "Your mileage may vary type thing".

I had probably 3 or 4 inq's when i applied for both a Visa and Amex in Ctiti's AAdvantage line.

I was approved for both.
