So i always said i would never get a card with Citi Bank...Mainly because i have had poor cust. service with their store branded cards (Sears, BBY)
Well i realized i might need to do a BT, because i did the math and well when one of my cards is costing about $60 in interest...its time to move the debt. I have tried asking for a lower APR and such but no luck, well thats not true i got it down by like 5% which is not enough for me. I decided if Discover doesnt give me a CLI on the 13th this month then i might need to open up a new card to BT because right now my Discover has 0% for a while and is full due to being a BT card already. I consolidated like 80% of my debt onto 1 card but still have roughly 2k to BT.
So heres my questions:
1. How is Citi Cust. Service on their actual cards?
2. Is the Citi Diamond Preferred a BT card?
3. Can i PC this card to other cards?
4. Is there a different card you would recommend for my BT issue? I looked at the DC card but noticed smaller limits being given and a 2nd HP needed for a higher limit. Also the longer the intro. rate the better.
When I got my Citi Diamond Preferred (not sure it was called that exactly in 2012) it was for a balance transfer.
I just sent a letter asking for an interest rate decrease, no reply yet, not sure they will.
I don't know if they do PC, haven't checked.
They were actually the first card sent to me with an EMV chip, fwiw

Personally, I liked my Slate when I had it for the BT. I think it was 0% APR for 15 months. I've always had good experiences with Chase's customer service when I've called or used secure messaging. It's my understanding that you can move the full credit line of the Slate to another Chase card once there is a zero balance and no activity in the card for 30 days.
Maybe someone else has a better suggestion, though.
I forgot i could move credit lines around. Does anyone know how long you need to wait before applying for a nother Chase card? Because for me i did Freedom in June, CSP in August.
Also after the promotion is over, do they ever offer another promo? Or is that it? Just a BT card for 15 mos.?

I didn't get another BT offer from Citi, but it's been a relatively short time, so that's not surprising. For existing cards, I'm getting BOA offers all the time, both cards, some now from USBank, and Discover.
I'm still working down a Chase BT offer, from pre-Financial Crisis January 2008, "4.99% forever" that I've been making minimum payments all that time. This card started as a MasterCard, and just changed to VISA Slate. Haven't seen any "forever" balance transfer low interest offers post crisis
Two of my cards, one BOA, one USBank, have started offering 18 months 0% BT.

Would by any chance would you know how many chase cards 1 person can have? Because currently i have 2.

A third card with Chase should not be a problem as long as you don't have what they deem is "too much credit" with them already.

I have 4 Chase cards: CSP in Sep 2013, Marriott in Nov 2013, Southwest in Mar 2014, and Freedom in Jun 2014.

I have two currently, had three, and no reason to think that was a problem, but didn't get an interest rate decrease on one (22%) so I closed it a few weeks ago. I had 4 for a while, but those were pre-crisis, and legacy from BankOne and other mergers Chase did at the time, so not comparable to CL rules they have today, and they took the initiative a few years ago (post crisis) and closed the 4th card, so that's your datapoint: Two yes, Three probably, four, not likely.
