Hello Everyone! I just wanted to write a quick post regarding my expericence surrounding this transition, as there seems to be much mystery/speculation in regards to this specific product change. I have been a Citi card member for around two years. I have a couple cards with them. My total AAOA is around three years. My Citi acounts are all less than 10K, though I never use much of the alloted credit line. About a year ago I called in to request this product change, as I had seen a fellow member [Ron1] detail his experience. I was told that my account was not eligible. I had left the request in the back burner, and I tried again this past January. To my surprise my account was eligible. Usually you have to first upgrade to a World Mastercard, though the specialist was nice enough to bump me up to World Elite per my request. I was informed about the 45 day wait period, and sure enough I received my card last week. I still have to go over all the benifits, and I am quite pleased with Citi's customer service in regards to this delegation. That said I just wanted to let people know that if you are responsible with your credit, it is possible to get these types of upgrades without having a substantial credit line or a decade of credit history under your belt [though these never hurt your chances .] My case may be an exception to the rule, but I am very happy with how everything turned out!
- I wanted to post a picture of the cool design, but didn't want to run the risk of having it removed.
Congrats & enjoy
