Citi Double Cash World Elite Version

My Double Cash card came in over the weekend and I noticed that they gave me the World Elite version. I did not even realize it was the WEMC version when I was applying. I tried finding more information about it but didn't really find much. Is the World Elite version that default and it is just not advertised? Or did I get lucky? They gave me a credit line of $5k.

Congrats!

When I got my card, its was WMC version and then they upgraded me to WEMC after CLI went over 5K!

Whats your APR by any chance?

Re: Citi Double Cash World Elite Version

I don't think Credit Limit /APR has anything to do with it. When I got my DC my limit was 1500 and my apr was the highest and it was still issued as a WEMC.

Mine started at 3.7k and it was a WEMC when I got it. Congrats on the card! It’s great!

Re: Citi Double Cash World Elite Version

They have been issuing it as a WEMC for awhile now with various limits; the limit doesn't seem to matter. That said, even though the card says WEMC, many have reported they can't get at least some of the WEMC benefits.

Congrats again! Thats an awesome APR. Most reward cards much higher these days.

Re: Citi Double Cash World Elite Version

Means absolutley nothing.

Other than having a shiny sticker and earning Citi higher swipe fees, you get zero World Elite benefits.

I ended up changing my DC to a Rewards+, I wasn't using my DC much anymore and with the loss of benefits, no point letting Citi get away with the higher fees.

 ? ? ?  Higher Fees?  Smiley Indifferent

I thought both the Citi Double Cash and the Citi Rewards+ both have no AF?  Which fees do you mean?
