I was approved for the Citi Custom Credit Line in October. Haven't needed to use it yet, but when I received the checks and paperwork, it has that option included. You can choose to have a fixed rate rather than the variable rate which comes with the line of credit for all or part of the account balance. However, the balance you convert can not exceed 75% if the existing credit line limit. I would think if you plan on carrying the balance over a period of time and expect the Fed to continue to raise rates, you would want to convert to the fixed rate. However, I am not sure if the fixed rate would be equal to the current variable rate.
