Again, I can confirm that it's always said this. I know this because when I applied I wanted to make sure I didn't get the wrong Forward card. I searched on their site about the rewards program and found the exact language in the OP. I called up and was told I'll be getting 5x points anyway. Don't worry about this.
Please don't scare me like that OP. I better still be getting my 5X points at restaurants. That's the only use I have for this card.
I got approved for the student forward in December and apparently I dont have the 5 ty points promotion. I called them like fifty times until I got someone who can understand english. They sent out a letter wanting me to prove this promotion. I faxed in the application few days ago, and today I recieved a email that they add a much of points back on the next statment. Im gonna check if they updated my promotions.

im wondering, for the people that are getting their 5 ty points, does it say your enrolled on the benefits builder?

I am enrolled in benefits builder. Also, I just recieved a mail couple days ago saying I will be getting the 5 ty points and I called in to confirm. They apparently forgot to put that on my account.

these is two different Citi Forward cards, one with 5x and one with 1x and 2x for different categories, if you received a higher bonus not many people read the fine print before applying for the card.

I applied for the citi forward student version, which only have one version if i'm not mistaken. I wasn't geting either the 5x or 2x points. Also, it is not listed on the benefits builder, so you have to ask your CS what benefits you have on the card.
I just gave citi a call, they transferred me to an account specialist, he said he just recently dealt with the same problem a couple weeks ago with another client (guessing its u credittothemax!) he just verified some information and then said the promotion should be up in a couple of days! if not i can give them a call on thursday. overall they were quick and very courteous, with all the bad rap citi is getting, it is not true for me so far!
edit: oh yeh i also forgot to add, they gave me a special promotion of 3000 bonus points for 300 dollars spent within 3 months for all the trouble i went through
I just checked my "benefits builder" and I only have the "at least 1 TY point" line. Does this mean I'm not getting my 5 TY points on Amazon, etc? I can't make sense of the points on my statement.
