What the differences? I tried googling but I kept getting links about the preferred cards. Is there a big difference between the basic plain jane versions?
Forward is 5 points on restaurants and entertainment, plus 1,200 every year for on time payments, and citi thank you is 1% on everything plus an aniversary bonus. 1% bonus the first year, 2% the 2nd year, and 3% bonus from there on.
I assume the higher thank you level you go (premier, prestige, super duper thank you and so on) the rewards get better.
Googling should have already told you the difference, very big difference.
Forward:
5 TY points per dollar spent on book store, restaurant, and entertainment. 1 TY point per dollar spent otherwise.
ThankYou:
1 TY point per dollar spent on all purchases.
3% annual bonus on amount of TY points earned when your card is two years old (2% for one and 1% for less than one).
Forward has better extended warranty and cell phone protection (only covers less than $50 of phone's total value).
ThankYou Preferred gets you concierge service and NPSL. Basic ThankYou card is a barebone CC.
Edited for typo's
Thanks it seemed like every link I followed was only for the upper cards not the plain ones. So the forward would be the better card to get.
