Hi everyone,
I am so annoyed at Citi right now. I applied and was approved for a Citi TY Preferred on June 30. When I applied the bonus was 15000 TY points after spending $1000 in the first 90 days. I was going to log in to my account today when I see a new offer on their website. The bonus is now 20000 TY points after spending $1500 PLUS now the card offers 2 points on dining and entertainment. I am so annoyed, had I waited a month I would have gotten that better offer. Mine doesn't have the 2 points.
Do you think Citi may let me take advantage of the 2 points on dining & entertainment since my account is so new, or have I completely missed out?
You'll never know if you don't call and ask
Good luck and fingers crossed![]()
I don't know about the extra 50000, but the 2x points on other things are for all cardmembers, not just the new ones.
Yes, the two times category starts today (I think) for all card holders. Surprised that they increased the sign up given the introduction of 2x. Now to see what this means for the Forward....
Well I wasn't sure if the 2x point offer was for all card holders. After I logged on to my account, I had a separate screen pop up which showed my card rewards and credit limit. It was strange because I've logged on to my account before and had never seen that screen. The 2x point offer was not on there. I thought I had missed out.
I'm ok without the extra 5000 points, though I may still ask just in case ![]()

The 5K points requires an additional $500 spend in the 3 months, so make sure you are OK with that!
