Citi ThankYou Premier arrived in big fancy box

My new Citi ThankYou Premier card arrived today in a big box. Seems a little overboard, but ok. The card is still the old design. There was a note in the box that says the new ones aren't ready yet, but they'll send one when they are. Just thought I'd share.

Edit: PS, it came as a WEMC.

Mine finally came today as well. I got the same note in the box. The old card looks cool as well. Very nice presentation to a really good travel card.

Did it come through regular mail? i applied on April 16 and still haven't received it. i called them and they said they did regular mail so it was slow.

I have the old Citi Forward, by that I mean I still get 5x points on it. I wonder if it makes sense to pair it with the Premier. Like the Freedom/CSP combo
