Ok..I'm still baffled but thought I would pass this info on. I had read previously that it was easier to get approved for Citi co branded cards vs Citi cards exclusively. I wasn't so sure about this but in my case it's true..I applied 3-4 weeks ago for the Citi Thank you card. I was denied due to inquiries..I attempted to recon, still a no go..OK fine..
I read again about the above being true..I thought ok I have inquiries about to drop off so I'll try and see. I had actually forgotten b/c it wasn't instant..I was checking my email and I have an email the following day saying Congrats our card is on it's way..I opened it and it days I was approved for the AAdvantage card for $13,000..What the what??!!!
Question for those of you that have this card, am I able to do a product swap if I choose to in a year when the AF comes up??
Thanks!!
OH BTW I forgot to mention the APR is 15.24%, I'm not sure that's the lowest, I need to double check that..Also for all you recovering from BK, I have an 8 yo BK on my reports..
If you have a AAdvantage card, you can downgrade to the Bronze card, but you cannot switch to a Citi exclusive card.
so I couldn't PC to like the Citi thank you or forward??
I don't believe so. Citi co-branded cards are separately handled by another group, even though it is backed by Citi.
Bamagirl, i know this may be a little off your topic but i also live in AL and was wondering which CR Citi pulled from when you applied?
