Re: Citi free EX FICO Score 8 for 90 days

Mine doesn't say preapproval anywhere either, but it does show 4 card instead of 2 for you. For me it shows 2% DC, TYP, AA Gold, & Simplicity.

Yes you are getting that due to having Experian Froozen.

I'm interested in Citi, just not until July. And I want the Costco card with a decent SL, so I'm waiting until I can get at least over 700 and hopefully 720+. I'm thinking this can be possible by July. I was over 700 all three CB's last june before I app spree'd the hell out of myself and opened 7 new accounts, plus a new auto in Sep and NFCU end of December.

I'm hoping for a speedy recovery.

Do you have a pretty thin profile that caused you to go from > 700 FICO to mid 650's?  Or is utilization playing a role as well?  Just a big drop from an app spree and a new car loan IMO.  Obviously if you AAoA is thin and not a robust profile this can certainly happen.  Just curious.  Thanks

Yea pretty thin I think, AAoA is at 34 months, oldest account over 11 years. Util did kill me because I did a (large to me) BT and it is finally getting paid down, just got down below 30% (23%) and I will be at about 15% util in Feb and should easily be under 9% by March.

Hmm not that thin of file.. Strange guessing it is your new installment loan (car) that is hitting you the hardest.  Thanks.

Now back to the subject whether these are "firm" offers.  Just need some Guniea pigs Smiley Happy

Lol to this^^^. Gotta be somewhat thin considering all of the below except 2 revolving accounts are less than 1 year old. The other two are just over 2 years. I have had 3 auto loans all paid as agreed and paid off early, and 2 other installment loans paid off early as well in the past 10 years.

I did establish some history in my early 20's but had no idea what I was doing and no direction so I made some mistakes. Cleaned all of them up by 26-27 and swore off cc's until about 2 years ago. That's when I opened up CF and HD, I did have a Cap1 Secured card since 2012 though. I'll be rock solid in another 3-4 years.

I'm also getting HP's from 2 banks 2-3 times a year as a guarantor for our finance company, I don't really like it but nature of the business and they pull separate bureaus.

If any of those have FIRM apr's. vs. ranges then that holds more merit than a range and tends to be at least with other lenders a more "solid" pre-qual/approvals.  Although in the credit world nothing is guranteed and denials do happen with any profile whether pre approved or not pre approved etc..  How solid this might be is anyones guess as no app's have came from this that I have seen yet.  I would tend to shy away from range APR's if I wanted to "get in" with citi and go for a solid APR for a card that one can actually use.  Whether firm APR's are fairly solid like Cap1 Pre-Qual tool or Chase Pre-Qual tool I don't think we know this yet.  Also many can be approved without having a Pre-Qual as well as 98% of my cards have been obtained with blindly applying.

I can confirm this. I tried signing up with EX frozen, and  got error mesages. I had to pay $5 to unfreeze (in my state its allowed), then tried it again, and had no issues the second time.

Re: Citi free EX FICO Score 8 for 90 days

These are personalized offer with specific APR thats very promising.

I even have 0% APR on purchases for 9 months on Citi DC

When you go the regular citi website and apply you don't have that offer and the terms are different

Anybody applied through that website and got approved ?

Re: Citi free EX FICO Score 8 for 90 days

Just an update....

its been 35 days now, and Ive tried several times to get it to "refresh", and it won't. Im unfrozen as well....I know of another poster on here too that it won't refresh either for them, as we signed up same day, and only had the free score thing for 1 month.

Anyone else try to log in and get an updated score? Mine still says 1/17/18...

EDIT:

seriously??  As soon as I made this post, it updated, LOL!!! Smiley Sad no offers/not surprised....
