So I've been looking at the citi simplicity and might take advantage of the 18 month interest free. If I did do it I'd want to transfer 2500 or so. Does anyone know how citi are with there initial credit limits? I have amex blue 5000CL, Barclay 3500CL and discover 3500CL.
What are the chances they'd match my amex?
My wife has:
Chase Freedom- $11K CL
PenFed Cash Rewards- $6K
Amex BCP- $6K
CareCredit- $5K
Lowes- $10K
She was recently approved for the Citi Simplicity for $1200.00.

I think it's going to depend on your credit file, FICO scores, and income, but if those are good, then you probably have a decent chance at getting $5,000 or more to start.
My DH was approved for the Citi Simplicity card back in May - his starting limit was $7,400 and he just got a CLI to $11,400 (soft pull). I just applied for the Simplicity card yesterday and was approved with a starting limit of $10,900. My Amex Optima is still reporting a limit of $9,600, so they did exceed my highest Amex limit.
Good luck if you decide to pull the trigger!!

Go figure. Our scores, reports and incomes are very similar. Two plus years ago, they approved me for the Platinum Select with a $8.7K starting CL. Now $12K.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. My credits decent enough, income shouldn't be a concern either. Still not sure if I'm going to go for it or not, but appreciate the info. Really just want to make sure I'm moving forward with my credit limits.
I have the Amex Blue with a 5k limit as well. Was approved for the Simplicity with a matching 5k limit. Accidently applied again, gave me another Simplicity with a 1,200 limit. Go figure!

Well with the cards you already have why would you want the Simplicty?
The simplicity is not a rewards card. It has 0% APR on BT for 18 months, but so does the Diamond Prefered, which isn't a rewards card either except that it does have the free concerige service.
Even the Dividend has 0% APR on BT but for 12 months and it at least is a true rewards card that at bear minimum offers 1% CB.
