Costco sells some products on a "1+1+2" basis (1 year manufacturer warranty, 1 year Costco warranty, then 2 year card warranty equals 4 years total). I don't know if the second "1" applies if you use a card other than the Citi Costco card.
Yep! I used the Discover online when it was at 5% for Whole Sale Clubs. Good point on the DC being a Mastercard vs a Visa.
Extended warranty on big dollar items are something I value. Had a recent issue with a 3 year old refrigerator that would of cost us $800-$1000 without the warranty.
