Oh no, isn't it against Forum TOS to close a CHASE card?
😁
What do you mean?
Maybe it's daylight savings time throwing people off, but I think you got them confused with NFCU.
Had it been them, this thread would be 5 pages of "You just ruined the best thing in your life, ever. Tragedy"
On a more serious note what is it that triggers you about chase? I'm asking because it comes up often, but I've never seen you type a reason for it. That much resentment towards a corporate entity must have a reason.
Was it denial? Or continuously being over 5/24, hence inability to get approved?
There's a laundry list somewhere
But, then there's also AmEx, DCU, and the list goes on

Obviously we move in different circles. For me, and others like me, ok, for me, unreasoning and pointless hatred is a goal. Ideally totally unfocused towards everything, but if you have to start by focusing on a corporate entity, that's a good step.

Holy fico it was a joke. I'd would think you of all people would get it but of course .. . Nah I'm gonna leave it right here. Can't even post in jest anymore. I tried.

@AverageJoesCredit you're free to post, in jest or not.
However, when *jest* is narrowly focused and repeats, I don't think asking "why" is unreasonable. I mean, if it's about not being able to get approved due to your forever over 5/24 status, there is an easy solution, garden.
If it's denials due to utilization, garden while paying off. This isn't reserved for you only, ilt's for everyone.
Chase doesn't really play percentage game, if it ends up on someone's desk, they will look at raw numbers.
If you think income is preventing approvals, plenty of threads in approvals from members ranging from disability income only to "look at me" numbers
So, I asked because most things Chase does are applicable to all of us, not just you.
And granted, we had this similar conversation before when all Penfed posts were "jest" but now you're best friends, so consider the possibility that sometimes how we "feel" about any lender isn't indicative of how they do business, but instead how we choose to do our business.
Or maybe "jest" isn't up for grabs, read only material.
I wouldn't really expect you to get any more upset with me for questioning post than I'd expect Crowhelm to get upset over being questioned about what good customer is
Same thing, right? Someone said something they have been saying a lot, and you had a question as to why... no different than this thread but okay.

@Jnbmom wrote:@Remedios Oh yes NFCU I would be burned at the stake or pebbled with rocks 😂
I don't really dislike chase I just don't have any cards other than the United and well 5/24 I am so over that it's not funny . Maybe years down the road I will get one of their cards but for now with everything I have going on , I am just trying to simplify a bit and really want to close some cards . That card really didn't work for me , I have a few others that will be next , most certainly my Walmart card with Cap one which I can admit I don't particularly care for them 😂
Cap One is willing to approve me for Platinum and secured card. I gotta do some thinking here 😐
OMG me too!!11 😯 Even though my profile is lots better now than when I got my Platinum 2 years ago...
On topic: Congrats @Jnbmom on trimming some of the fat.
Thanks just closed my Walmart cap one card too. Gotta trim the fat lol

You know, I never understood that phrase (I use it a lot, myself), like why would anyone want to trim the fat, fat is yummiest part.
I'd rather trim the lean parts 😂
I want chunky cards with lots of fat on them.

Depends on the type of meat. On brisket, some fat is good. On steaks, absolutely not.
