I have 2 Store cards with Comenity Bank, Ann Taylor Loft and NY& Co. I use them sporatically as I have been trying NOT to shop and to save... Both cards haven't reported a balance/payment etc for the last 5 months... I am mortgage shopping and I think having them report would boost my score a bit... I want them to report but I don't want them to report a balance...
Any ideas on how to get this to happen? Buy things and pay them off prior to the statement date? What is my best plan of action here?
Comenity store cards must be used to update the CR, just buy something cheap, pay before stmt cuts and it will update to current time.

Will all my comenity cards, I usually leave less than .50 cents as a balance prior to the statement post date. This triggers the statement to generate and still report a $0.00 bal to credit bureaus. Good luck!

Good to know, I will use this technique with my HSN card. I already do this for Walmart, and will have to do so in the future with BoA since it has generated no Statmeent for me this month since I PIF before hand. I thought it would show the transactions of the month but NO.

Especially if you've had a CLI recently. I have a few cards that I don't use often but got CLI on anyway...CLI wouldn't get reported unless there was some use....
If you really don't want to buy anything for real...you can always do a purchase and return. Should still generate a statement with a zero balance that should report. I haven't personally tried this method yet but have heard it works on other boards.
