I was actually going to post that the shopping cart trick worked for me last week. I received the 7-10 day letter from Victoria Secret shopping cart pre-approval, so I figured it was going to be a denial since my utilization was at 90% , but I thought what the heck since there's no inquiry.
Today I checked my USAA credit monitoring, and BAM! New Comenity account is posting on Experian & Equifax, before I even received the card in the mail. I just applied on Thursday, so it's been 5 or 6 days.
Agreed. Seems that Comenity Cards all vary in terms of Reporting.
Congrats!! $500 is a good starting limit for VS.
@Jerry45 wrote:I recently picked up a Sportsman's Guide Visa, and Comenity reported and generated a first Statement right away, but my second statement generated over two weeks ago and has not been reported to any of the CRA's? Trying to get my payment history updated with them and do have a balance.
Has anybody dealt with this, and how long it takes for them to report after a Statement?
It's definitely YMMV. My VS updates more promptly than my Gold Violin. I've noticed that they really like to take their time if I let a balance post the month before and then pay to $0 for the next statement.
Agreed, thanks for the Info. Hard for me to whine, when I picked up a Visa with a high CL, and a soft pull
I applied for two Comenity cards, one of the 15th and the other on the 16th of this month. Both cards came in the mail this afternoon. Neither of them have reported to my reports as of yet. I applied for a Walmart card on 11/11 and it reported within two days.

Update:
My two cards hit Experian this morning. They have not hit the other two yet.

Synchrony Bank seems to be really fast at reporting. I applied for Gap/Banana Republic & Old Navy on Saturday.
By Tuesday it was on my Credit Report
Commenity seems to be hit or miss. Some of my cards reported within 2 weeks. Some took almost 45 days.
I agree Synch Bank is quick. Comenity finally reported to TU and EQ yesterday. Both times they reported for me, it was on Friday, at least 10+ days after my statement cut.
