Also keep in mind that security clearance requires good credit. No military member would threaten his/her job by running up a bunch of bills that they cant pay.

Even my job in the civilian world required a security clearance including a background check and credit check... I did tell them ahead of time about the ex husbands truck that got repoed.... this was before they pulled my credit profile.... I didn't want them to have any surprises or question my motives by keeping secrets.
