Things must have changed since we bought our home almost 18 years ago.  After we closed on our home loan, we were very careful not to apply for any new credit as we were under the impression that the loan package and our finances would still be reviewed within 30 days after closing.  We also had a very good friend who was a loan officer and she told us horror stories about folks who closed on their home loans and went on spending sprees and then their home loans fell apart due to changes in their DTI.  Maybe there were other mitigating factors.....but it scared us enough to not buy anything for 2 months.  LOL

Yes, that is my EQ score from here.  I have one medical collection reporting a zero balance. I have had Penfed membership for 7 years. My utilization is 14% and I have never missed a credit payment in my 9 year history. Paid 3 auto loans and I had 20000 in credit before this App spree. Plus my income is very stable and I have large reserves. I guessed all that helped.

Yes they all pulled EQ, and Capital One pulled all three. EQ is my lowest score. For what its worth I am in Raleigh NC.
