Credit Card Activation

I realized that I scheduled an online purchase to go through on a credit card that hasn't been activated yet (it was a replacement card for my expired card...same account numbers).  Not sure if the purchase was declined or not yet.  I am just wondering if something like this could result in AA or account review or something.  I haven't heard of that happening but I thought I'd ask.

For the purchase I had put down the new updated expiration date and 3 digit code on back of card. I wonder if purchase will go through

Re: Credit Card Activation

it doesn't hurt to call the number to activate the card and then call customer service to see if the charge was approved.

Re: Credit Card Activation

I have never called to activate a replacement card. Cards always still worked fine.

Re: Credit Card Activation

I'm pretty sure each card has to be activated once received, but as long as the account number/credit card number is the same; the transaction should have gone through.
