Credit Limit Increase

I recently received a credit limit increase on my mastercard.  I did not ask for an increase and have been paying the card down.  Will this increase cause my credit score to go up or down?

if it reduces your overall debt, it will cause your score to go up

Your credit score will go up. Credit Limit Increases are a good thing!

a credit report doesn't know your income.

If it reduces your debt to credit limits....  your overall utilization on your credit accounts
