It's not so much that threatening doesn't bother a CSR at a retailer, bank, whatever -- it's that if they aren't empowered to help you, they aren't empowered to help you. You just have to move to the next level. Escalate until you can get this resolved.

I’ve successfully reallocated limits with Bank of America with no issues. Moved $11K from my BBR to my Cash Rewards to give myself a nice $20K limit.
Sorry you had such a nightmare with this. I have to question why after 5 years of activity, BoA has kept you at such low limits? I only have 2 years of history with them and I haven’t had any problem growing my exposure from $500 to $21.3K.
