Unfortunately, human error can and does happen. Threatening to cancel isn't going to help you because in most cases there is no magic "undo" button. If someone has made it clear they are unable to help you, move on to the next level. Threatening is a waste of time if the person isn't empowered to change anything anyway.

It's not so much that threatening doesn't bother a CSR at a retailer, bank, whatever -- it's that if they aren't empowered to help you, they aren't empowered to help you. You just have to move to the next level. Escalate until you can get this resolved.

+1.  My thoughts exactly!

I’ve successfully reallocated limits with Bank of America with no issues. Moved $11K from my BBR to my Cash Rewards to give myself a nice $20K limit.

Sorry you had such a nightmare with this. I have to question why after 5 years of activity, BoA has kept you at such low limits? I only have 2 years of history with them and I haven’t had any problem growing my exposure from $500 to $21.3K.
