Credit Mix Store Card vs Gass Card

Good Evening,

When fico looks at your credit mix, is a gas card looked at the same as a store card?

Yeah, I have that same question also.  It used to be that the gas cards were not affiliated with visa or mc.  Now when you get a gas card they have either mc or visa on them.  If this is the case, what is the difference between having a visa or mc gas card and having just a regular credit card?  How do they distinguish between the two?

So can I assume that a non MC/Visa branded gas card would be the equivalent of a store Credit card in optimum credit mix.

It gets reported to the CRAs as a REVOLVING credit acount. The only difference between a Visa/MC and Store card is the comment on it, Visa/MC will generally say "Credit Card" while a store card will generally say "Charge Account" or "Charge Card".
