Re: Credit Score Question

By quite some time do you mean like 6 months? I was planning to not cancel any of my cards until I am approved for my new card. Then after I am approved I will start the cancelation process.

Re: Credit Score Question

I don't qualify for NASA FCU because I have no way to link and be accepted. I currently have a credit union visa but I am looking for a worldwide bank that can offer me service for my account 24/7 not just when the bank is open. I am big on having cs available 24/7

I wouldn't reccommend canceling any cards tha tdon't hav an annual fee.  they will add to the strength of your credit file.  IF ou find in the future that you have too much avail credit and want to go for somethng big.  Cancel then as long as you can avoid the temptaion in the meantime.

Re: Credit Score Question

When you applied for the Visa signature Alaska card...what was your credit score if I may ask. Also do you think that by being a student that would change by ability to open the card...on the signature application it has a box that you can check if you are a student. how long should i wait...six months?

Oh no for me it will probably be more like two years while I build my biz credit and cut back on some cards I have.  Trust me when I say I have too many and many I received while rebuilding my credit.
